Support our non-profit organization and help us preserve history, culture, and education for future generations. We are excited to begin our new building project, which will expand exhibit space, improve visitor experiences, and create new opportunities for community programs and events. Your donation directly supports this important growth and helps bring our vision to life. Every contribution—big or small—makes a lasting impact.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), allows retirees age 70½ and older to donate up to $100,000 tax free from their IRA each year.
Key Benefits of QCDs in 2026:
Reduced Taxable Income: Because the distribution goes directly to a charity, it is not included in your taxable income, preventing it from pushing you into a higher tax bracket.
Satisfy RMDs Tax-Free: For those 73 or older, a QCD counts toward your annual RMD requirement without incurring the tax penalty of a standard withdrawal.
Lower AGI & Medicare Savings: By keeping your AGI lower, you may avoid or reduce the 3.8% net investment income tax (NIIT) and lower your Medicare Part B and Part D premiums.
Benefit Without Itemizing: QCDs allow you to receive tax benefits for charitable giving even if you take the standard deduction.
Reduced State Taxes: Because a QCD lowers your federal adjusted gross income, it can also reduce your state income tax liability in many states.
Key Requirements:
Age: You must be at least 70 1/2 years old at the time of the distribution.
Direct Transfer: Funds must be transferred directly from the IRA trustee to the eligible charity. Contact your account administrator to initiate at QCD
Eligible Charities: Contributions must go to 501(c)(3) organizations (excluding donor-advised funds or private foundations).
Account Types: Eligible for traditional and inherited IRAs, and sometimes inactive SEP/SIMPLE IRAs.
